Amrita Ganguly has been appointed as Chief Diversity Officer and General Manager – Internal Communications at Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles (TMLCV), a leading player in the bus, truck, defence and small commercial vehicles market. She announced the move through a LinkedIn post, describing it as a “homecoming,” recalling her roots in Jamshedpur where Tata Motors (then TELCO) and Tata Steel have been part of her journey.
Ganguly is a strategic communications leader with over two decades across niche-interests, platforms, category-leaders and even industries. In her new role, Ganguly will continue to drive the company’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) charter, while also taking on the responsibility of Internal Communications, with a focus on strengthening inclusion and belonging within the organisation.
Her joining happens at a time when the company announced the acquisition of Italian auto major Iveco Group for €3.8 billion, signalling its global growth ambitions and opening new avenues for cross-cultural collaboration.
