There has been a buzz in the media industry for some time now that Vijayant Kumar, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Zee Media Corporation Limited, is going to end his more-than -two-and-a-half-decade-long innings here and will soon join the India Today group. However, these speculations have finally come to an end.

In a letter sent by the India Today Group to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on February 1, 2025, it has been informed that Vijayant Kumar is not going to join their group. A letter in this regard has been sent by Ashish Sabharwal, Group Head (Secretarial and Company Secretary) of 'TV Today Network Limited'.

If reliable sources are to be believed, the reason behind this is that Zee Media has offered Vijayant Kumar a big responsibility at the group level, i.e. to make him the Chief Technology Officer in Zee Telefilms as well. However, there has been no confirmation about this. e4m’s sister concern samachar4media tried to contact Vijayant Kumar to know the real situation in this regard, but he could not be contacted till the time of writing the news.

Vijayant Kumar has been associated with Zee Media for more than 25 years. He has been working here as the Chief Technology Officer for about six years. Earlier, he has also held important positions here like Vice President (Technology), Head (IT Service).

Vijayant Kumar, a graduate in Computer Science from Maharishi Dayanand University, has also worked as Senior Manager (Technical Support) at Team Computers before joining Zee Media.
