In a unanimous decision, Tata Trusts has reappointed Venu Srinivasan as a trustee for life, just ahead of the completion of his current term on October 23, reports PTI. According to a source quoted by the agency, the trustees unanimously agreed to reappoint Srinivasan, Chairman Emeritus of the TVS Group.
With this decision now settled, attention turns to Mehli Mistry, whose term on the board is set to expire on October 28. Discussions around his reappointment are expected to be more complex, as differing views have emerged on whether his continuation requires unanimous consent or follows a different process.
The developments come amid reports of growing differences within the Trusts, with suggestions of a divide between those aligned with current chairman Noel Tata and others seen as close to the late Ratan Tata.
