Two of InMobi’s most prominent senior leaders, Vasuta Agarwal and Devika Sharma, are exiting the company soon, sources close to exchange4media confirmed, marking a significant leadership transition at one of India’s most celebrated homegrown tech titans.
Agarwal, who currently serves as Chief Business Officer, Consumer and Performance Advertising, has been with InMobi for over 13 years. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in shaping InMobi’s global ad monetization strategy across consumer properties. From overseeing product and go-to-market functions to driving revenue and operations, Agarwal’s influence has helped the InMobi team establish itself as a global advertising powerhouse.
Before ascending to her current role, Agarwal served as Senior Vice President and Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region, managing P&L responsibilities and leading business operations across India, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and Australia-New Zealand. Her prior stints at McKinsey as a management consultant and at Intel as a chip design engineer provided her with a diverse foundation that she seamlessly integrated into the fast-paced world of adtech.
She is an alumna of BITS Pilani and IIM Bangalore and has featured on several prestigious lists, including IMPACT’s “50 Most Influential Women in Media & Marketing.”
Meanwhile, Devika Sharma, VP & GM – India at InMobi, is also moving on. Sharma has been a key figure in the company’s India operations, overseeing monetization for InMobi’s owned and operated platforms, including Glance and Roposo. As a board member for MMA India, Sharma has been an influential voice in shaping industry standards and driving marketing innovation.
Before InMobi, Sharma brought over 15 years of rich experience in experiential marketing, having led the Experiential Marketing business unit at Mindshare, part of GroupM. She worked closely with marquee brands like PepsiCo, Mondelez, Nokia, HSBC, Castrol, and Volvo, building a reputation for outcome-driven campaigns and strategic brand storytelling.
Her tenure at InMobi has been marked by a focus on expanding native advertising and content-led brand experiences, helping the company solidify its position in India’s highly competitive advertising ecosystem.
When contacted for confirmation regarding these high-profile exits, InMobi issued the following statement: “As InMobi continues to grow rapidly, we’ve also elevated several leaders internally in line with our merit-driven culture. Some of our sales leaders have decided to pursue other opportunities. We truly value their contributions and wish them all the best in their future endeavors.”
The simultaneous departure of these two senior leaders comes at a time when InMobi is accelerating its global and domestic ambitions, doubling down on AI-led ad solutions, and expanding its consumer product offerings. Watch this space for further developments.
