Sanjeev Kulkarni, a seasoned media professional, has announced his departure from VRL Media, publisher of Vijayavani, Karnataka's largest circulated Kannada daily newspaper, after serving as Vice President for 12 years.

At VRL Media, Kulkarni was responsible for ad sales and brand marketing for Vijayvani, Dighvijay 24x7 News Channel and VijayaVani.Net

Reflecting on his journey with the organisation, he said that the decision comes with a mix of emotions — gratitude for the experiences, pride for the achievements and excitement for the new opportunities ahead.

During his tenure, he worked closely with Managing Director Dr. Anand Sankeshwar to transform Vijayavani into one of Karnataka's most trusted and widely read newspapers. Kulkarni credited Dr. Sankeshwar’s relentless passion, strategic foresight, and unwavering commitment to excellence as key factors in the publication's success.

“It has been a privilege to work under his guidance and witness firsthand his dedication to journalistic integrity and innovation,” Kulkarni said, adding, “Vijayavani will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am confident that it will continue to thrive and lead the way in Kannada journalism.”

Before joining Vijayavani, Kulkarni spent about eight years with the Times of India Group, handling revenue generation from western India. He successfully handled ad sales for Mumbai and Western India at the organisation for the brands —  Vijay Karnataka, Vnext, and VK Drive. His media career began in 1999 at Vijayanand Printers Ltd., where he started as an Advertising Manager.
