Mike Hordley appointed Chief Operating Officer of HSBC Private Bank

Mike Hordley has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of HSBC Private Bank. The news of his new role was announced by the bank through a LinkedIn post. Mike, who is currently Interim COO of the Swiss Private Bank, will start in the role when a permanent COO for the Swiss Private Bank is in place in April this year.

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Hordley as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of HSBC Private Bank. Mike, who is currently Interim COO of our Swiss Private Bank, will start in the role when a permanent COO for the Swiss Private Bank is in place in April”, the LinkedIn post read.

Mike has worked for HSBC since 2003, holding senior leadership roles across operations, strategy, transformation and risk. He has worked as COO for HSBC Bank plc and Europe, and has held senior leadership positions in mainland China, Hong Kong, the UK and the US.

In a LinkedIn post, “I’m genuinely excited to be joining the Private Bank’s leadership team and to be working with such talented colleagues across the business. I’m looking forward to the journey ahead as we continue to support our clients globally”.
