KIPS Learning appoints Shashikala Meenakumari as Head – Publishing

KIPS Learning Pvt. Ltd., the education arm of ABP Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Shashikala Meenakumari as Head – Publishing.

Shashikala brings with her over three decades of distinguished experience in school and trade publishing, with deep expertise in K–12 curriculum design, education policy, and editorial leadership. She is widely recognized for her ability to transform traditional learning materials into engaging, learner-centric, and teacher-friendly educational resources that align with evolving curricular and pedagogical needs.

In her most recent role as Director – School Publishing at Macmillan Education India Pvt. Ltd., Shashi led the successful publication of thousands of titles across Early Years, Science, EVS, Mathematics, Computer Science/ICT, English, and higher education anthologies. Her responsibilities spanned strategic publishing leadership, P&L management, commissioning authors and subject matter experts, building and mentoring high-performing editorial teams, and teacher training initiatives—making a lasting impact on both content quality and learning outcomes.

An academically accomplished professional, Shashi is a University Gold Medallist and holds postgraduate degrees in Education and Human Rights, along with an M.Phil. in Education. Her rare blend of scholarly excellence and hands-on publishing expertise positions her as a strong leader to guide KIPS Learning’s next phase of growth.
