Netflix has appointed lead independent director Jay Hoag as Chairman of its board.
Jay Hoag takes over from Reed Hastings who announced in April that he was stepping down from Netflix board.

Hoag is the Co-founder of TCV, a growth equity firm and an investor in Netflix for years now.
He has been on the Netflix board since 1999 and the lead independent director for more than a decade.
Hoag also serves on the boards of Zillow Group and Peloton Interactive.
