Javier Campopiano is stepping down as Worldwide Chief Creative Officer, Global Clients at Omnicom Advertising Group. He will leave the company at the end of May. Campopiano took on the role six months ago following Omnicom’s acquisition of Interpublic Group in December 2025.
Campopiano confirmed the news in a LinkedIn post, stating, “I am leaving Omnicom at the end of the month”, and describing the decision as “not an easy” one, but “the right one”.
Campopiano reflected extensively on his three-year stint at McCann Worldgroup and McCann. He has previously held senior creative leadership roles at Grey, OpenX and Saatchi & Saatchi.
In his message, Campopiano hinted at future plans, saying he wanted to focus his energy “more intentionally on specific projects” and work “even closer to the ideas”.
