Prior to his tenure at JioAds, Verma led the advertising division at Disney+ Hotstar, where he played a key role in growing the platform's revenues by more than eight times over three years.

Strategic Implications for Amazon Ads India

In last few years, ecommerce platforms have not only disrupted the advertising business of tech giants like Google and Meta but have also carved out a significant share of the digital advertising pie.

In FY24, Amazon India's advertising revenue reached Rs 6,649 crore. This represents a 24% increase from the previous year's Rs 5,380 crore. Amazon India commands now about 10 percent of India’s digital advertising spends.

This growth is attributed to factors like increasing internet penetration and the growing trend of online shopping in India.

As Amazon continues to expand its advertising services, Verma's expertise will be crucial in enhancing client relationships, optimizing ad products, and delivering measurable results for advertisers.
