Vijay Iyer, who recently stepped down from Amazon Ads India after serving the US-based eCommerce giant for more than nine years, has joined Flipkart as Vice President and General Manager, Flipkart Ads, e4m has learnt.
Flipkart is believed to be strengthening its ad vertical on the lines of Amazon India, with Vijay Iyer handling the entire operations.
Iyer and Flipkart’s responses were awaited till the time of writing these lines.
Iyer, as the Director of Amazon Ads, was the third senior executive to exit Amazon India in the second half of 2024, including India Head Manish Tiwary and Consumer Electronics Head Ranjit Babu.

With extensive experience in business development, Iyer has played a pivotal role in planning and executing key initiatives across digital advertising, social media, and video.
Previously, Iyer held key roles at RML Information Services, Komli Media, Azira, and Yahoo, further demonstrating his expertise in the digital and advertising space.
