Google News' Shailesh Prakash has stepped down as Vice President and General Manager
Google News's Shailesh Prakash has stepped down as Vice President and General Manager, as per media reports.
Shailesh Prakash joined Google two years back. He was in charge of Google News and Ecosystems within Google Search.
Prior to that, Prakash was on the Board of Nautilius Inc. He was earlier Chief Product and Technology Officer with The Washington Post.
Prakash has held leadership roles at Microsoft.
As per media reports, the movement comes as tensions emerge between Google and publishers.
