Prominent television journalist Deepti Sachdeva has resigned from Times Network’s English news channel Times Now. She joined the channel in February last year as a Consulting Editor and hosted the 7 PM show Nation Wants to Know.
In an exclusive conversation with Samachar4Media, Deepti Sachdeva confirmed her resignation, stating that she would soon announce her next professional move.
Prior to joining Times Now, Sachdeva was associated with Republic TV for a long time, serving as a Senior Anchor and Senior News Editor. This was her second stint at Republic TV, as she was also part of its founding team and had earlier worked there for nearly three years.
With over two decades of experience in journalism, Sachdeva has built a distinguished career. Her tenure at Times Now was also a second innings, having previously worked there as a Senior Anchor for nearly five years.
Additionally, she has held key positions at NDTV as an Anchor/Special Correspondent for approximately six and a half years and at Zee News as an Anchor/Correspondent for over two years.
Notably, during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Sachdeva led Times Now’s Election Yatra, covering 4,500 kilometers across key states such as Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. This journey played a crucial role in presenting India's political landscape to audiences in an engaging and insightful manner.
Throughout her career, Sachdeva has earned recognition for her expertise in ground reporting, political analysis, and investigative journalism. She has been honored with the Young Professional of the Year award at the exchange4media News Broadcasting Awards (enba), along with numerous other accolades.
