CBS News has appointed Nick Bilton as executive producer of the long-running show '60 Minutes'.
Bilton was previously a columnist for The New York Times and a special correspondent at Vanity Fair.
Meanwhile, Tanya Simon who was executive producer of the show has said that she would be moving on.
Simon has been executive producer of 60 Minutes since July 2025. In a note to her colleagues, she said, “It has been an immense privilege to lead this broadcast, and I could not be prouder of what we have built, fought for, and delivered together over the last year.”
Bilton will be responsible for expanding 60 Minutes beyond a one-hour television broadcast, news networks reported.
In a social media post, Bilton wrote: "It's the honor of my career to become the executive producer of 60 Minutes."
In other developments, news reports said executive editor Draggan Mihailovich, producer Guy Campanile, and correspondent Cecilia Vega are also on the way out, along with Sharyn Alfonsi.
