Long-time Uber executive Balaji Krishnamurthy has taken charge as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the company. Krishnamurthy succeeds Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah, who stepped down from the role of CFO.

“Today marks my first day as Chief Financial Officer of Uber. I want to say thank you: to Prashanth Mahendra-Rajah for everything he has done for Uber, and to Dara Khosrowshahi for his trust and partnership", the LinkedIn post read.

Even after leaving the CFO position, Mahendra-Rajah will remain with Uber as a senior finance advisor to CEO Dara Khosrowshahi until July 1, 2026, ensuring a smooth transition.

Prior to this elevation, Krishnamurthy served as Vice President of Strategic Finance. He joined Uber in 2019 and previously led the company’s investor relations function from 2020 to 2023. Over the years, he has played an important role in shaping Uber’s financial strategy and strengthening its relationships with investors.
