Atul Kapoor bids adieu to Pratiyogita Darpan

Atul Kapoor, who was associated with Pratiyogita Darpan, a well-known magazine for preparing for competitive exams, for 38 years, has bid farewell to it. He shared an emotional post on the social media platform LinkedIn, reminiscing about this long journey and expressing gratitude to the institute, his mentors and colleagues. Atul Kapoor started his journey with Pratiyogita Darpan on 28 October 1988. He was working here as the Vice President.

In his post, Atul Kapoor explained that his association with Pratiyogita Darpan wasn't just a professional relationship, but rather a significant chapter in his life. During this time, he gained many experiences, faced challenges, and forged friendships and relationships with numerous people. He said that this journey played a significant role in shaping his personality.

Atul Kapoor explained that the work began with the dream of making Pratiyogita Darpan the number one magazine in the career development category. It was an ambitious goal, but it was realized through dedication, consistent effort, teamwork, and trust. According to him, this journey can serve as an example of building and growing an organization, which involves embracing new ideas and the courage to implement them.

He described Pratiyogita Darpan's late mentor, Mahendra S. Jain, as a visionary and skilled entrepreneur, recalling his work ethic. According to Atul Kapoor, the most striking feature of Mahendra Jain was his speed of decision-making. He could decide within seconds or minutes whether to pursue an idea or challenge. Atul Kapoor said this clarity shaped the organization's work culture. Under his leadership, challenges were transformed into opportunities, and many achievements were achieved through teamwork.

Atul Kapoor also spoke about his experience working with his young boss, Rahul Jain. He praised Jain's dedication, energy, and vision, saying these qualities gave him confidence in the organization's future and the values ​​it embodies.

Atul Kapoor concluded his post by stating that he doesn't see this long association as an end, but rather, he feels a deep sense of gratitude for it. He expressed his gratitude for the trust, opportunities, learnings, and all those who have been with him on this journey.

Prior to joining Pratiyogita Darpan, Atul Kapoor served as Marketing Head at SAMKALPA ENTERPRISES, a position he held from February 1985 to February 1987. Prior to that, he served as Industrial Engineer at Escorts Limited from June 1983 to February 1985.

He also worked at A CUBE CAREER SOLUTIONS PRIVATE LIMITED from June 2014 to June 2022. Atul Kapoor is a mechanical engineer. His career began in engineering, followed by a long career in marketing and then in competition management.
