According to reliable sources, October 31st will be his last working day at the organization. There is currently no concrete information available about Anuj Khare's next move.
It's worth noting that Anuj Khare has been with the India Today Group for nearly four and a half years. Initially, he held the position of Cluster Head (Apps and Sites) for Aaj Tak's Tak Digital Apps. Nearly three and a quarter years ago, after Panini Anand, Executive Editor at Aaj Tak (Digital), resigned, Anuj Khare was appointed Editor.
Before joining India Today, Anuj Khare served as Editor (Digital) at Zee Media. He joined Zee Media from the Dainik Bhaskar Group in August 2020. He had a long tenure at Dainik Bhaskar, during which time he is credited with taking the group's Hindi news portal, Dainik Bhaskar (dainikbhaskar.com), to the top.
He was the editor of the group's Gujarati website 'Divyabhaskar' (divyabhaskar.com) from 2012 to 2015 and also headed Bhaskar Group's Marathi news website 'Divyamarathi' (divyamarathi.com) for a long time.
He has also worked as Editor and Group Head Magazines in the print wing of Bhaskar Group. He is also credited with launching several editions of Dainik Bhaskar Group in Rajasthan including Jaipur City Bhaskar. It was under the leadership of Anuj Khare that India Today Group's site Aaj Tak won the award in the Gold category and Zee Media's regional news portal Zee Uttar Pradesh/Uttarakhand won the Gold title for Best Micro Site in the prestigious 'enba' awards of Exchange4media. Anuj Khare, who has participated in several digital conferences across the world including Digital Media Asia, Singapore, is known for his creative ideation and innovation in the digital world.
Anuj Khare is also a well-known satirist. His regular columns have appeared in several newspapers and magazines. He was named one of the 251 best international satirists of the 21st century. He has also hosted numerous literature festivals across the country, including the Jaipur Literature Festival and the World Book Fair in Delhi.
Anuj Khare is also the author of three books, including 'Baatein Bematlab', 'Param Shraddhey Main Khud' and 'Chillar Chintan'. He has also registered his name in the Limca Book of World Records on the basis of his writing style. Actually, this honor was given to him for being one of the twin brothers who have six title books to their name, out of which three books are in his name and three in his brother's name. He has also been awarded the nationally prestigious 'Atthahas Yuva Samman' in the field of satire. His unique style of play 'Nautanki Raja' has been shown many times in many cities including Delhi.
Anuj Khare, who has been active in the media for over two decades, has been awarded the MP Ratna Award by the Madhya Pradesh Press Association for his outstanding contributions to journalism. A graduate in history and archaeology, Anuj Khare holds a postgraduate degree in mass communication from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism and Mass Communication, Bhopal. He is also a recipient of the prestigious UGC JRF (Junior Research Fellowship).
