Alliance Insurance Brokers Private Limited has announced the appointment of Aatur Shashikant Thakkar as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Principal Officer.
Aatur takes over from Shashikant Thakkar, Founder and former CEO and Principal Officer. Shashikant Thakkar will continue to be associated with the company, offering strategic direction and supporting Alliance’s long-term growth and market expansion plans.
Commenting on the leadership transition, Shashikant Thakkar, Director at Alliance, said that Aatur has grown within the organisation and reflects the core values on which Alliance was built. He added that Aatur’s experience and outlook make him well suited to lead the company forward while maintaining its strong focus on clients and service excellence.
Sharing his views, Aatur Thakkar said he is honoured to take on the role and carry forward the legacy of Alliance. He noted that the company is entering an important growth phase driven by scale, innovation, and focused execution. Over the next three years, Alliance plans to expand its presence across India and increase premiums under management to INR 5,000 crore. He added that the company closed FY25 with premiums under management exceeding INR 1,500 crore and aims to reach INR 2,500 crore by the end of FY26. Aatur said the focus will be on strengthening Alliance’s position as a future-ready insurance distribution leader while delivering long-term value to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Aatur Thakkar brings more than 20 years of experience with Alliance, having been closely involved in the company’s growth journey.
