Alekhya Chakrabarty has joined Info Edge India Ltd as Senior Vice President, Marketing. He comes into the role with over 14 years of experience across leading FMCG and digital-first companies.
Prior to this appointment, Chakrabarty was associated with Unstop where he spent more than two years in senior leadership positions. He served as Vice President, Marketing and Growth from March 2023 to April 2025, where he spearheaded a five-fold user growth, expanding the platform’s base from 4 million to over 25 million through full-funnel marketing strategies. He was elevated to Head, Marketing and Growth in May 2025, leading functions spanning growth, creative, content and marketing until August 2025.
Before his stint at Unstop, Chakrabarty worked as Head of Marketing at Sunstone from November 2021 to September 2022 and also took up an independent role as Brand Consultant for five months in 2022-23.
Earlier, he built his career across some of India’s largest FMCG players. At Nestlé India, he was Category Marketing Head for dairy and later Innovation and Sustainability Lead for the segment, between 2019 and 2021. From 2016 to 2019, he managed ITC’s personal care brand Vivel, overseeing its ₹400 crore plus annual turnover and launching successful product variants.
He also spent over two years at Unilever as Assistant Global Brand Manager for Dove and began his career at Emami Ltd as Assistant Brand Manager for BoroPlus, where he developed and launched the marketing mix for its face wash portfolio. Chakrabarty’s career spans brand management, digital-first growth marketing, and sustainability-driven innovation.
