Balaji Thiagarajan has been appointed as Chief Product and Technology Officer at Flipkart. The company shared the news of his appointment through a LinkedIn post.

In this role, Balaji will provide leadership to our technology organization, with a strong focus on accelerating AI adoption, advancing our tech architecture to power cutting-edge AI applications, and driving innovation at scale.
Most recently, he served as the CEO of Kasu.ai, a company that developed AI strategies to power and automate business processes.
With over 25 years of experience, Balaji is an accomplished leader who has driven innovation in product, platform, and technology across a diverse range of companies, from fast-paced startups to global leaders such as Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, and Uber.
Balaji’s experience spans some of the most significant technological movements of the last two decades, including the rise of cloud and mobile ecosystems, as well as the advent of big data and AI - and we are excited for everything that he’s going to bring to Flipkart as we work towards delivering the best value to a billion Indians.
