Shamik Basu Takes Charge as VP, Creative Products Group – India at Adobe

Adobe has appointed Shamik Basu as Vice President for its Creative Products Group in India. He will be based in Noida and will lead the company’s engineering and product management teams in the country. Basu will also be part of Adobe India’s leadership team.
In his new role, he will report to Ely Greenfield, Chief Technology Officer of the Creative Products Group.
Basu will collaborate with global teams working on key Adobe products such as Adobe Firefly, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Lightroom, and Adobe Premiere Pro.
Speaking about the appointment, Greenfield said that India continues to be an important market for Adobe, especially as the company focuses on building AI-driven creative tools. He added that the India teams play a key role in innovation across design, imaging, video, and AI products like Firefly, and that Basu’s experience will help strengthen leadership and support Adobe’s next phase of growth.
Sharing his thoughts, Basu said he is excited to join Adobe at a time when creativity is being transformed by AI. He added that he looks forward to working with teams in India and globally to build new and advanced creative solutions.
Before joining Adobe, Basu was with Microsoft, where he focused on improving product performance, reliability, and developing AI-powered user experiences for a global audience.
