ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (‘Z’) has elevated Laxmi Shetty as Head - Advertisement Revenue, Broadcast & Digital, marking a significant leadership change in the company’s revenue vertical. In her new role, Shetty will lead monetization across both linear and digital businesses, reporting directly to Punit Goenka, CEO, ZEE.

Shetty, a seasoned revenue strategist, has been with ZEE for over two decades and has played an instrumental role in driving the company’s sales strategy, pricing models, and process efficiencies. Since joining ZEE in 2005 as part of the revenue leadership team, she has been at the forefront of initiatives around sales optimization, revenue maximization, and leveraging cross-platform synergies to strengthen advertiser relationships.

Prior to her elevation, Shetty served as Chief Sales Strategy & Maximization Officer at ZEE, where she nurtured business relationships, designed revenue-maximization frameworks, and introduced data-led pricing and analytics models. Her focus on building strategic sales planning, CRM systems, and cross-amplification of efficiencies across ZEE’s value chain has been recognized as a cornerstone of the company’s advertising growth.

Before her ZEE stint, Shetty spent 15 years with Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (Times Group), where she conceptualized and built the group’s first MIS system, codified its Business Warehouse, and designed a two-dimensional pricing structure for print publications.

An alumna of the University of Mumbai with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Shetty has built a reputation as a problem-solver and innovator in the advertising ecosystem. She is known for successfully implementing sustainable creative solutions and enhancing advertiser value through content-technology integration.

Her elevation comes as the company and Ashish Sehgal, Chief Growth Officer, mutually part ways. As Head - Advertisement Revenue, Broadcast & Digital, Shetty will now spearhead ZEE’s holistic monetization strategy by tapping into new revenue streams, expanding advertiser relationships, and delivering unique value propositions at the intersection of content and technology.
