Captain TV launches 24-hour news channel
Captain TV and the new channel, Captain News are promoted by actor and DMDK Party Chief Vijaykanth
Tamil Nadu based news and entertainment channel, Captain TV started a dedicated 24-hour news channel ‘Captain News’ on August 29, 2012. It is promoted by actor/politician Vijaykanth.
Vijaykanth, DMDK Party Chief, formally launched the channel. The online version of the same commenced operations on August 28.
For the record, Captain TV was started on April 14, 2010 by Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam, which is a political party in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The Managing Director of Captain Media is LK Sudish, brother-in-law of Vijayakanth.
