RAM Week 17: Radio Mirchi wrests top rank from Big FM in Kolkata
Fever FM continues to lead in Mumbai and Delhi and Radio City retains leadership in Bangalore.

Week 17 of the RAM ratings saw Radio Mirchi replacing Big FM at the top spot in Kolkata. There was no change in the top positions in the other three markets, with Fever FM continuing to lead in Mumbai and Delhi and Radio City retaining leadership in Bangalore.
In Mumbai, there was no change in the first four slots. In the universe of 12.2 million listeners, Fever FM held on to the first position with 16.3 per cent share, followed by Radio Mirchi on the second spot with 14.5 per cent share, Radio City on the third rank with 13.6 per cent share and Big FM on the fourth rank with 12.7 per cent share. The fifth rank this week was bagged by Radio Nasha with 10.4 per cent share, replacing Red FM. In this market, early morning, followed by mid morning and night time band, observed the highest listenership in total radio.
In Delhi, Fever FM and Radio City held on to the first and second positions respectively. In the universe of 16.5 million listeners, Fever FM bagged a share of 19.7 per cent and Radio City captured a share of 12.5 per cent. Radio Nasha, with a share of 12.2 per cent, wrested the third spot from Radio Mirchi, which slipped to the fourth spot with a share of 11.9 per cent. The fifth spot was retained by AIR FM2 Gold at a share of 10.6 per cent. In the market, afternoon followed by early morning and evening time band observed the highest listenership in total radio.
The Bangalore market recorded no change in the top five positions. In the universe of 5.3 million listeners, the first spot went to Radio City with 24.8 per cent share. The second, third, fourth and fifth spots were retained by Big FM, Radio Mirchi and Fever FM and AIR FM1 Rainbow, respectively. Big FM had a share of 18.1 per cent, Radio Mirchi 16.6 per cent and Fever FM 14.5 per cent. AIR FM1 Rainbow bagged a share of 6.8 per cent. Evening followed by afternoon and mid morning time band observed the highest listenership in total radio.
In Kolkata, Radio Mirchi wrested back the top position from Big FM. Radio Mirchi recorded a share of 20.5 per cent in the universe of 9.1 million listeners, while Big FM slipped to the second slot with 19.4 per cent. The third, fourth and fifth positions were retained by Fever FM, Red FM and Aamar FM. Fever FM garnered a share of 18.6 per cent, Red FM 9 per cent and Aamar FM 8.9 per cent.
