RAM Ratings: Big FM takes top spot in Mumbai, Fever FM consolidates position in Delhi
Radio Mirchi leads in Kolkata, while Radio City hung on to top spot in Bangalore with the narrowest of margins in week 25 (June 14-June 20) of RAM ratings
The RAM ratings for Week 25 (June 14-June 20) are in. Big FM climbed back to top spot in Mumbai and Fever FM consolidated its position in Delhi, while Radio City hung on to top spot in Bangalore with the narrowest of margins.
The see sawing between Big FM and Radio City continued with Big FM nabbing top spot this week with a market share of 17.7 per cent but Radio City was close behind with 17.5 per cent market share. In terms of Time Spent Listening (TSL), Big FM led with 6.31 per cent and Radio City was third with 5.32 per cent. Fever FM, which claimed fourth spot in terms of market share with 13.7 per cent had the second best TSL in the city with 5.46. Radio Mirchi was third with 13.8 per cent and 4.08 TSL.
Fever FM has consolidated its position in Delhi taking 19.1 per cent marketshare and a TSL of 5.11. This was far more than that of second placed Radio Mirchi’s 13.4 per cent share and 3.43 TSL. Other notable performers were Radio City with 12.6 per cent market share, Big FM’s 12.2 per cent market share and 3.3 TSL. Fourth placed Big FM had a market share of 12.2 per cent and a TSL of 3.5 while RED FM had a market share of 10.5 per cent market share and 3.05 TSL.
Radio Mirchi also maintained its lead at the top in the east with a market share of 19.8 per cent and a TSL of 4.31. This was followed by BIG FM with a market share of 14.8 per cent and a TSL of 4.29. Fever FM had a market share of 11.7 per cent and a TSL of 6.47. Red FM had a market share of 6.3 per cent and a TSL of 4.22.
Bangalore continued to be the most radio friendly of all the metros with Radio City showing the highest TSL across the 4 cities with 9.17. Even the other radio stations showed a very high TSL. IN terms of marketshare radio City topped with 21.6 per cent marketshare followed by Big FM with 21.4 per cent. Radio Mirchi was third with 18.1 per cent and Feer FM was fourth with 11.7 per cent marketshare.
