Big FM Delhi unveils new time band ‘Mohabattein’

The new time-band is dedicated to the romantic genre. Big FM will soon roll out an extensive marketing campaign for the same.

Big FM Delhi unveils new time band ‘Mohabattein’

This Diwali, Big FM Delhi launched a brand new time band with fresh content and format named ‘Mohabattein’ to provide the best-ever romantic experience. The new time-band will be aired between 11 am and 5 pm, Monday to Saturday. ‘Mohabattein’ is another step towards the revamp that Big FM Delhi has been undertaking to make it more contemporary, mature and tilted towards romantic songs.

In its ongoing initiative to be most current and credible, this time-band promises to address all aspects of love and the best of the songs of the legends – playing Lata Mangeshkar from 11 am-1 pm, Mohammad Rafi from 1-3 pm and Kishore Kumar from 3 – 5 pm. Apart from great music, the time band also has interesting segments from ‘enticing your husband’ to ‘get home early’ to ‘testing how well you know your partner’ to ‘keeping it real with larger-than-life love stories in real and on TV’.

BIG FM is also launching RJ Pallavi who will host a show from 11 am to 3 pm. RJ Pallavi, the host comes across on air as a friend and companion who transforms a listener’s afternoon into a romantic musical journey with a great voice and fantastic insight into people’s love psyches . Carrying forward the baton is RJ Aliya, who will be hosting the time band from 3 – 5 pm and will be playing the evergreen songs of Kishore Kumar.

Talking about the new development,” Sudha Sadanand, Station Head, BIG FM Delhi, said, “We are focusing on three legends of Indian film music: Lata ji, Rafi and KIshore Kumar. All three are incomparable and after a detailed research and study we found that Delhi loves good music and is always ready to lap up what is quintessentially of heritage value. We plan to play the best of love songs from the three artists and there is a treasure trove out there. What better way to spend your day than with the music of these legends. And also by doing this, we break the clutter that we find in radio stations in Delhi who seem to be aping each other which we at BIG have never done.”

Further adding on the marketing initiatives, Sudha Sadhanand, stated, “We are in the process of doing expansive things but as of now it is too early and premature. Our foremost focus has been to launch the time-band which we have done with excellent response from Delhi.”
