Alok Saxena has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Ishq FM, now under the ownership of Manoranjan Media Group. This leadership change follows the acquisition of Ishq FM from the India Today Group, marking a new chapter for the station.
Alok Saxena brings over three decades of experience in media advertising sales to his new role. His career includes notable positions at prominent media organizations such as Red FM, where he specialized in building revenue streams and expanding market presence. His expertise is expected to play a crucial role in revitalizing Ishq FM's operations and programming.
Speaking about the new appointment, Sahib Chopra Director, Manoranjan TV Group said, “With Ishq FM, we are committed to delivering an exceptional radio experience—led by some of India’s finest RJs like Lucky, Sapna, and Soumak. To strengthen this vision, we’ve brought on board Mr. Alok Saxena, who brings nearly three decades of experience in the radio industry. His inclusion reflects our serious intent to scale and innovate in this space. All I can say now is—Do the Ishq, baby!”
Commenting on his appointment, Saxena said, “We aim to deliver better music and richer radio content through innovative programming—taking radio beyond the conventional. I believe the radio space in India has strong growth potential, especially when aligned creatively with consumer and listener needs.”
The acquisition of Ishq FM by Manoranjan Media Group was finalized earlier this year. The deal included three FM stations operating at 104.8 MHz in Mumbai, Delhi, and Kolkata.
Ishq FM, known for its romantic music format, has been a staple in the Indian radio landscape. Under the new leadership of Alok Saxena and ownership of Manoranjan Media Group, the station aims to enhance its content offerings and strengthen its connection with listeners across its broadcast regions.
The appointment of Alok Saxena as CEO is seen as a strategic move to steer Ishq FM towards renewed growth and innovation in the competitive radio market.
