Variety to debut Indian edition in November 2025

Global entertainment news publication Variety is officially entering the Indian market. The news has been shared by film trade analyst Taran Adarsh in a post on X.
“VARIETY ENTERS INDIA – LAUNCHES VARIETY INDIA... #Variety, globally recognized as the authoritative source for entertainment business news, has announced the launch of #VarietyIndia in partnership with #ThursdayTalesPublishing Pvt Ltd, helmed by industry veterans #SaritaATanwar and #GautamBThakker,” Adarsh posted.
The India edition will be headquartered in Mumbai and spearheaded by Sarita A Tanwar. “#VarietyIndia will be led by #SaritaATanwar and will highlight the voices shaping film, TV, streaming, theatre, and pop culture... It is set to launch in Nov 2025,” he added.
The full editorial and leadership team of Variety India will be unveiled in the coming months.
