In a major leadership reshuffle at Business Today, Siddharth Zarabi has been elevated to the role of Group Editor, while Alok Nair will now take independent charge of the overall Strategic Business Unit (SBU), reporting directly to Group CEO Dinesh Bhatia.

The announcement, made internally to the India Today Group team, was described as a pivotal moment for the brand as it moves toward deeper editorial-business alignment and a digitally integrated future.

Siddharth Zarabi, who has been with the organization for just four years, now assumes the full editorial mandate across Print, TV, and Digital platforms. Having successfully led the brand’s print and broadcast verticals, Zarabi will now steer the digital strategy as well, completing what has been described as “AP’s vision of a unified, synergistic business vertical.” He will report to Aroon Purie, Editor-in-Chief for print, and to Kalli Purie for TV and digital operations.

Meanwhile, Alok Nair, Chief Operating Officer at Business Today, has also been recognized for his significant role in scaling up the brand. Known for his high energy and inventive thinking, Nair will now oversee the business operations of BT independently, a move that underscores the Group’s confidence in his leadership.

In her note, Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group, called the reshuffle “a testament to our belief in our brands and the incredible talent within our organization.” She praised both Siddharth and Alok for seamlessly integrating into the company’s culture and for being instrumental in the platform’s growth.

“Get ready for a real bull run,” she added, reflecting the optimism around the new leadership team and the potential momentum they are expected to generate.
