Senior Hindi journalist Ira Jha passes away

Senior Hindi journalist Ira Jha passed away today. Jha breathed her last at AIIMS in Delhi. Jha, who hailed from Chhattisgarh’s Bastar, had been ill for the past few days.

Ira Jha had been in journalism for 35 years. Entering journalism in the late 1980s and early 90s, at a time when women were rarely seen in journalism.

In her long career, she worked with Navbharat Times Dehi as Chief Sub Editor, Hindustan as Editor-NCR and Senior News Editor.
