Governance Now to launch in Hindi; ropes in Alok Mehta as Editor

Three and half years after its launch, English fortnightly magazine Governance Now is all set to launch its Hindi edition next month. Governance Now was launched on January 27, 2010 by SAB Group under Sri Adhikari Brothers. BV Rao is the Editor of the magazine, while Ajay Singh is the Managing Editor.

Talking to exchange4media about launch of the Hindi edition, Markand Adhikari, who started Sri Adhikari Brothers along with his brother Gautam Adhikari, said, “Governance is the need of the hour. We have got tremendous response and respect for the English version. So, now to take this to the masses, we are launching a Hindi edition. We will soon be launching the magazine in other regional languages as well.”

The organisation has roped in Alok Mehta as Editor for Governance Now Hindi. Mehta said, “Governance is the most important issue in India and the world. Governance is not depending only on the government system, but needs people’s involvement too. Now, we will try to involve the society and the system. There is still a large readership in Hindi for good content and Sri Adhikari Brothers always wants to reach out to the masses with quality content. We are confident of providing the best to the readers.”

Prior to joining Governance Now, Mehta was Editorial Director with National Duniya. He was earlier Chief Editor of NaiDunia. Mehta has more than 40 years’ experience in journalism and has also served as President, Editors Guild of India.
