The Printers Mysore Private Ltd owned Deccan Herald (DH) has launched a weekly supplement that features travel-related content. The supplement has been named DH Travel. The 4-page supplement comes every Saturday with the DH daily.
DH Travel focuses on travel-related content such as vacation ideas, itinerary-based trips, culinary tours, shopping tips, weekend escapes, seasonal hot spots, hot deals of the season and happening events of the week from around the globe.
Talking to exchange4media about the launch, Karthik Balakrishnan, CEO, The Printers Mysore, said, “Travelling is now intrinsic to modern life. According to reports, urban Indians travel once every two to three months. Be it for business, relaxation or adventure, people look for an escape from their daily routine. Exploring new places, especially off-beat destinations, is a trend that is fast catching up. In such a scenario, we felt a supplement that is devoted to travel would engage our readers.”
“The supplement features destinations that range from sleepy villages to bustling cities, sun-soaked beaches, snow-capped mountains, lush jungles and sweeping deserts, giving our readers vacation ideas that suit every interest and pocket.” He added.
“We do not have special reporters for DH Travel. We accept articles from freelancers. It is open to everyone,” said Balakrishnan.
