Maruti Suzuki Q2 profit jumps 8% YoY to Rs 3,749 crore; revenue up 13%

Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) reported a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,749 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2025 (Q2 FY26), reflecting an 8.8% increase year-on-year (YoY) from Rs 3,103 crore in the same quarter last year. Sequentially, profit grew 13% from Rs 3,492 crore in Q1 FY26.

Revenue from operations stood at Rs 42,344 crore, up 13% YoY from Rs 37,449 crore in Q2 FY25 and 10% higher than Rs 38,605 crore in the June 2025 quarter.

Total income, including other income of Rs 946 crore, came in at Rs 43,290 crore, compared with Rs 38,972 crore a year earlier and Rs 40,493 crore in the previous quarter.

On the expense front, cost of materials consumed rose to Rs 25,324 crore, up 16% YoY, while purchases of stock-in-trade increased to Rs 6,682 crore, a 36% YoY jump. Other expenses rose to Rs 4,809 crore from Rs 4,341 crore in the same period last year.

Overall, total expenses grew 15% YoY to Rs 39,018 crore, compared with Rs 33,879 crore in Q2 FY25.

Profit before tax stood at Rs 4,339 crore, down 15.6% from Rs 5,141 crore in the year-ago quarter. Tax expenses for the quarter were Rs 990 crore, resulting in a net profit of Rs 3,749 crore, versus Rs 3,103 crore last year.

H1 FY26 profit up 6.6% to Rs 7,141 crore on double-digit revenue growth

For the half year ended September 30, 2025, Maruti Suzuki reported a total income of Rs 83,784 crore, a 10.6% increase compared with Rs 75,739 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations for the six months stood at Rs 80,949 crore, up 10.6% YoY from Rs 73,229 crore.

The company’s profit for H1 FY26 came in at Rs 7,141 crore, compared with Rs 6,862 crore a year earlier, an increase of 4.1% YoY.
