BARC Week 38: Google Pay enters list of Top 10 brands at seventh spot
Last week's leaders e-commerce giants Amazon.in and Flipkart dramatically slipped to eight and 10th spots in the same category

In the list of BARC Top 10 Brands for Week 38 (September 15-21), Harpic led the category with 14,600 insertions. Trivago, Santoor Sandal and Turmeric, Roop Mantra Ayur Face Cream and Colgate Dental Cream were at the second, third, fourth and fifth spots with 10,682, 8974, 8440 and 8433 insertions, respectively.
Wipe retained its sixth spot with 8326 insertions. The category saw a new entrant Google Pay at the seventh spot with 7949 insertions. E-commerce giants like Amazon.in and Flipkart slipped to eight and tenth spots with 7444 and 7363 insertions, respectively. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare entered the category at the ninth spot with 7414 insertions.
In the same week, in BARC Top 10 Advertisers list, FMCG brands Hindustan Lever and Reckitt Benckiser continued to lead at the top two spots with 1,45,676 and 84,429 insertions, respectively. ITC Ltd also retained its third spot with 32,998 insertions. Godrej Consumer Products climbed to fourth spot with 28,180 insertions. Berger Paints entered the category at fifth spot with 26,220 insertions.
Cadburys India climbed to sixth spot with 25,345 insertions while Procter & Gamble dropped to seventh spot with 24,192 insertions.
Marico climbed to the eighth spot with 23,919 insertions. Amazon Online India and Colgate Palmolive India entered the category after a brief hiatus at ninth and tenth spots with 22,930 and 22,558 insertions, respectively.
