IDFC FIRST Bank stays true to its name and has become the first Indian bank to launch the AI-powered Holographic Avatar of its Brand Ambassador, Amitabh Bachchan. This innovative initiative paves the way for dynamic customer engagement and digital transformation. 

The Holographic Extended Reality (HXR) device comes armed with touch capability that allows customers to engage with the digital avatar in real time. 

The holographic avatar of Mr. Bachchan would enable the IDFC FIRST Bank’s customers to get accurate information and engagement when it comes to their product and service offerings. These include Zero Fee Banking, Monthly Interest Credits, Mobile Banking, and the innovative Current Account BRAVO feature. Additional products and related assistance will be integrated in the upcoming phases. 

The first device was launched at the bank’s Juhu branch in Mumbai. The digital avatar of Mr. Bachchan will soon be a part of the experience of leading branches of IDFC FIRST Bank that experience high customer-traffic, or are located at prime locations at a PAN India level. 

It is not the first time that IDFC FIRST Bank has come up with a new and simplified way of banking. As a matter of fact, the Bank avoids complex descriptions, calculations, and technical language that can be difficult to understand. Furthermore, it removed all charges on its Savings Accounts, money transfers, SMS alert, cheque book, and similar services that are usually charged by other banks. This makes the IDFC FIRST Bank, the first of its kind to adopt the principle - that it won’t touch its customers’ bank account for one reason or another. 

The latest addition of the digital avatar adds to the modern technology stack of IDFC FIRST Bank, which boasts an advanced mobile app with 250+ features across MF Investment Assistance/Aggregator, Payments, UPI on Credit Cards, Bill & Recharges, amongst others - adding convenience to the lives of customers. The features extend for business customers, from on-the-go bulk payments, the ability to pay income tax, GST, custom duty, and connected banking and ERP solutions. 

Given such tech advancements, the bank has financed over 40 million customers around its social banking theme. It has developed exceptional capabilities for financing bottom-of-the-pyramid customers, with high asset quality. The numbers walk the talk, with the service provided to 40 million customers that include 0.3 million SMEs, 0.9 million livelihoods (cattle loans), 16 million lifestyle improvement loans, 1 million sanitation loans, 6.5 million mobility loans, home financing loans to 100,000 homes, and 15 million loans to 4.3 million women-entrepreneurs. This moves further to retail and rural loans as well, for the betterment of Indian farmers. 

Given the vastness of finance requirements, and to meet the banking needs of India’s growing population, the AI-Powered Holographic Avatar of Mr. Bachchan will be highly effective in providing banking assistance to the customers.
