Disney Consumer Products launches ‘Roadside Romeo’ merchandise in India

Yash Raj Films has embarked on a marketing drive for its first ever animation venture, ‘Roadside Romeo’, which tells the story of an adventurous canine. As part of this drive, Yash Raj Films has tied up with Disney Consumer Products (DCP) to launch a range of merchandise products based on the film.

Disney Consumer Products launches ‘Roadside Romeo’ merchandise in India

Yash Raj Films has embarked on a marketing drive for its first ever animation venture, ‘Roadside Romeo’, which tells the story of an adventurous canine. As part of this drive, Yash Raj Films has tied up with Disney Consumer Products (DCP) to launch a range of merchandise products based on the film.

The merchandise includes apparels, accessories, footwear, fine jewellery, school products, stationery, toys, story books and other activity books.

The apparel range, targeted at tweens in the 10-14 age group is priced at Rs 400 to Rs 1,000. The range would be available at select Catmoss stores across India.

DCP has also entered into strategic partnerships with different companies and retail outlets to launch a series of products catering to all segments.

For innerwear and footwear collections, DCP has tied up with Bodycare and Lakhani, respectively. While the innerwear range is priced between Rs 50 and Rs 75, the footwear range is priced between Rs 99 and Rs 749.

DCP and Popley have come together to launch ‘Roadside Romeo’ high-end jewellery range priced between Rs 26,000 and Rs 39,000. The collection will be retailed out of select Popley outlets.

For stationary products, DCP has partnered with HM International to retail note books, lunch boxes, water bottles, coin banks, pencil boxes, CD cases, etc. The products will be available at Big Bazaar and Lifestyle outlets and are priced between Rs 49 and Rs 169.

DCP has also tied up with Portico - Creative Mobus to launch ‘Roadside Romeo’ bed sheet collection priced between Rs 649 and Rs 2,299, and with Hot Mugs to launch special mugs capturing the themes, motifs and characters of the movie.

DCP has partnered with Excel to launch a host of books such as colouring, copy, activity, sticker, etc., in the market. ‘Art of Romeo’, a coffee table book, and ‘Junior Novel’ are also in the offing. Meanwhile, DCP has also tied up with Diamond Comics to launch ‘The Adventures of Romeo & Friends’ and ‘Roadside Romeo’ comics.
