ATN Bangla, the satellite channel which was pulled off the airwaves for showing tobacco related ads, has been replaced by a new brand ATN Kolkata. In the new format, ATN Kolkata is going to viewers with only Bengla programmes devoid of any ad, which has anything to do with tobacco.
ATN Bangla had come under fire from enforcement authorities for showing tobacco-related ads, which are banned in India.
ATN Bangla is a Bangladeshi channel owned by the Bangla-based Multimedia group and largely comprises Bangladeshi programme.
