ZeeQ ties up with BBC for preschool brand CBeebies

ZeeQ ties up with BBC for preschool brand CBeebies

Edutainment channel ZeeQ has tied up with BBC Worldwide to bring programmes from BBC’s preschool brand, CBeebies, to audiences in India.

This license agreement will see ZeeQ airing CBeebies programmes from Monday to Thursday for an hour between 9:30 AM and 10.30 AM, with a two-hour repeat telecast on weekends between 11.00 AM and 1.00 PM. The CBeebies band will launch on Monday, July 1, 2013.

Through this collaboration, ZeeQ’s viewers will be able to watch series such as ‘Teletubbies’, ‘3rd & Bird’ and ‘Charlie and Lola’.

ZeeQ currently caters to the 4-14 year age segment. This association will help ZeeQ tap the pre-school segment as well (0-3 years) and strengthen its current portfolio of programmes. The channel currently airs a mix of live action and animated shows.
