Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti’s new vertical expands their storytelling universe with cinematic campaigns, music videos, and branded films.
Tiger Baby, the creative powerhouse co-founded by filmmakers Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti, has launched Tiger Telly, a vertical dedicated to advertising, brand storytelling, and short-format content. With a strong belief in cinematic storytelling and cultural resonance, Tiger Telly brings Tiger Baby’s ethos into the world of commercials, digital-first narratives, music videos, and long-form branded content.
“We want to tell stories in all formats, and Tiger Telly is the natural extension for us. We’re really excited for all the upcoming collaborations,” said Zoya Akhtar, signaling the studio’s expansion beyond film and OTT into brand and culture-led campaigns.
Tiger Telly is designed as a full-service creative studio that collaborates with brands and creative partners through every stage of production. Its focus lies in storytelling that not only reflects shifting cultural narratives but also brings emotional and visual depth to brand messaging.
The vertical has already made a splash with an impressive and diverse body of work. A campaign for Yas Island, co-written by Akhtar and Kagti, cleverly channels the nostalgic energy of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara while showcasing the adventure and glamour of the Abu Dhabi-based destination. A fashion film for designer Tarun Tahiliani, directed by Kagti, celebrates timeless Indian couture with artistic reverence.
In collaboration with Tiger Baby Records and Tanishq, the team produced Main Kya Hoon Hain, a wedding anthem that reimagines the modern Indian bride. For ARKS, Ranbir Kapoor’s lifestyle brand, Tiger Telly crafted a brand film that captures the soul of personal style and contemporary identity.
The vertical also marked its entry into long-format branded content with Nykaa Wali Shaadi, a docu-series in partnership with Jio and Nykaa, chronicling the real-life journeys of four brides. Other recent projects include a vibrant new positioning campaign for Vivo, a socially conscious ad for Ariel that reflects Tiger Baby’s values of gender equality in domestic spaces, and a campaign for Spinny that features cricketing legends in a fresh, accessible avatar.
“Tiger Telly has already been a part of a variety of projects, and we aim to continue combining short-form content with impactful storytelling,” said Reema Kagti, reflecting on the early success and future ambitions of the new vertical.
Tiger Telly is the latest addition to Tiger Baby’s growing universe of storytelling platforms. With acclaimed productions like Made in Heaven, Eternally Confused and Eager for Love, Dahaad, The Archies, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, and the upcoming Superboys of Malegaon, the studio has consistently balanced scale with soul. Tiger Telly continues this legacy, taking storytelling into new, immersive, and culturally relevant spaces.
