SSP to expand presence in India with new franchise deal

SSP Group plc, an operator of food and beverage outlets in travel locations worldwide, is to expand its presence in the Indian food and beverage market with the agreement of a franchise deal with World Iconic Brand (WIB) hospitality. 

Three of its most popular brands are coffee shop Ritazza, Upper Crust bakery and Millie’s Cookies. It operates in over 30 countries worldwide. In the UK, there are now 18 franchised Millie’s stores, and two Upper Crusts while in Romania there are two Ritazzas. The company has recently signed agreements in Qatar and Saudi Arabia for Millie’s.

Franchise India owned subsidiary, World Iconic Brand (WIB) hospitality has taken master rights of the for three brands in India. The company will be responsible for franchising the brands in India via area developers who will operate the stores themselves as well as sub-franchising.

Being the leading franchising authority in the country, it will offer the brand access to investors, online and hardcopy marketing channels along with various franchise exhibitions.
