Mathrubhumi News hosts 3rd season of Mastercraft Award show

With the growing disposable income and availability of modern decorative building materials, more and more people are engaging professional architects to make their dream house a reality.
Realising this growing trend and demand, Mathrubhumi News, The Malayalam television news channel of Kerala’s leading media conglomerate Mathrubhumi group hosted its 3rd edition of Mastercraft architecture show awards at Grand Hyatt, Kochi. The awards night honoured and acknowledged architectural excellence in Kerala and recognised young and promising architects of Kerala whose persistent pursuit to excellence has fuelled Kerala’s journey to the forefront of the Indian economy.
This year’s awards ceremony was attended by stalwarts of the architecture fraternity, bureaucrats, which included Ar Rahmat Indrani, Principal architect of SPOA, Indonesia, Ar Kamal Malik, Founder & CEO of Malik Architecture India, Ar BR Ajith, Dr Binumol Tom, Professor, Dept of architecture, Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Krishnakumar, Credai Kerala Chapter along with Mathrubhumi officials.
The winners were selected from various categories including Best Architecture Design – individual, Best Home, Best Apartment, Best Remodelled house, Best Landscape Design, Best eco-friendly house etc. Ar Sebastian Jose from Silpi architects Ernakulum won the best architectural design of season 3, and Ar Shyam Raj Chandroth was chosen as the winner under the Best Home category.
Congratulating the winners, M V Shreyams Kumar, Joint Managing Director, Mathrubhumi Group said” The season 3 of Mastercraft reflects a whole new light on Kerala’s architectural scene, this year we received over 1000 entries out of which we shortlisted 35 winners under various categories, we are glad that we are able to create a benchmark in the field of architecture by encouraging talented architects to showcase their projects in a bid to win the top honours”.
