Amrita TV sweeps 26th Kerala television Awards with 19 awards

Amrita TV bags 19 awards of the 28 awards in the 26th Kerala State Television Awards.

Amrita TV bagged 19 awards of the 28 awards in the 26th Kerala State Television Awards.

Two major serials telecasted by Amrita Television swept away major awards. Nilavum Nakshatrangalum, a serial on complex family relationships won seven major awards including best tele- serial. GK Krishnan bagged the director of the best serial award, Roy P Antony won the producer of the Best Serial award. Apart from these the serial won the best script (Ganesh Olikkara), Best Editor (Tony Melukavu), Best Female Dubbing Artist (Parvathy Prakash) awards.

Vijay Menon and Gauri Krishnan bagged the second Best Actor and Best Actress award for the portrayal of their roles in Nilavum Nakshtrangalum.

Kali Gandaki, a thriller serial from Amrita Television bagged the best director and best actor award. Madhupal won the best director award and Krishna Balakrishnan won the best actor award. Naushad won the best cameraman award. Kallara Gopan bagged the award for the best music director. Ajith Krishna and S Radhakrishnan won the awards for best art director and best male dubbing artist respectively.

Aliyan V/S Aliyan won the best serial award in comedy serial category. Rajesh Thalachira and Shiva Mohan Thampi won the best director and producer for the comedy serial category. Riyaz Narmakala won the best comedy artist award and Manju Pathros received a special jury award for her performance in Aliyan V/s Aliyan.

Yesteryears actress Vidhubala won the Best Anchor award for the show Kadhayallithu Jeevitham. Kathayallithu Jeevitham is a television legal show in Malayalam. It is the tele-replica of Lok Adalat (people's courts) backed by the Kerala State Legal Services Authority (KELSA), which is constituted to give legal services to the people besides conducting Lok Adalats. Retired judges, famous lawyers and social workers comprise the judging panel.
