To support the next generation of Telugu singers, aha, the heart of 100% local entertainment, has announced a special collaboration with Snapchat, the go-to visual messaging platform for Gen Zs and young India, for the fourth season of the much-loved Telugu Indian Idol.
This collaboration aims to build a bridge between the stage and the screen in every fan's hand. The partnership will connect aha's massive viewership with Snapchat's vibrant Gen Z community through various online and offline engagements. This includes a strong on-ground presence through college activations and creator-led activities, creating new, interactive ways for audiences to connect with their favourite contestants.
A core part of this collaboration is an exclusive Snap School session for the contestants, a masterclass in modern stardom, teaching the aspiring singers how to connect with fans authentically. The budding artists learned practical skills to amplify their talent in today’s digital-first world, from creating viral moments with Spotlight to engaging fans playfully using AR Lenses.
"The creativity and energy of young Telugu audiences are incredible, and we see them embracing Snapchat every day to connect with their closest friends. This partnership with a beloved show like Telugu Indian Idol 4 feels so natural because it’s about that same spirit of expression. Our goal is to empower these talented contestants to share their incredible journey in a way that’s real and personal. We want them to leverage Snapchat as a tool to communicate with their friends and family, sharing the behind-the-scenes moments and staying connected to their roots as they step into the spotlight. It's about keeping that authentic connection alive, and we're excited to see them bring their loved ones along for the ride." Arathi Venugopal, Creator Partnerships, Regional Markets, India.
"Partnering with Snapchat allows us to take our contestants’ journeys beyond the screen and sing their way into the hearts of millions. This collaboration reflects AHA’s commitment to nurturing talent and Snapchat’s mission to foster creative expression." Ravikant Sabnavis, aha's CEO, added
This initiative powerfully brings to life the show's core promise of nurturing talent and providing them with a global stage. By partnering with Snapchat, aha and Fremantle are ensuring that today's idols are equipped not just with a powerful voice, but also with the digital fluency to build a worldwide fanbase.
As Season 4 of Telugu Indian Idol unfolds with more music, fun, and entertainment, this collaboration ensures the journey of every contestant extends far beyond the stage, connecting with millions of fans in new and exciting formats.
