Zee issues legal notices to Cobrapost, The Wire, The Quint and Bhadas4media

Zee Media Corporation Limited has issued legal notices to Cobrapost, The Wire, The Quint and Bhadas4media on June 1, 2018 for defamation with respect to the press releases/ news articles published on their web portal in a purported sting operation.

It states that media organisation and Cobrapost have deliberately and fraudulently edited, tampered and fabricated the videos recorded. The videos have used incorrect and false information to project a hyped and concocted story against media companies. And that it has in the most illegal and mala fide manner tried to defame the organisation.

It mentions that the impugned press release and purported sting operation contains deliberate and fraudulent misinterpretations and presents heavily concocted and fabricated version of the facts. The media channel has stated that the false and baseless allegations, suggestions and imputations are as a result of incorrect and grossly irresponsible reporting on part of the accused for certain ulterior motives.
