Tech giant Meta is reportedly gearing up to fire 5% of its workforce, an estimated 3,000 employees today on February 10.
Media reports say that Meta’s VP of Human Resources, Janelle Gale, shared the news on the company’s internal portal.
The memo said that the impacted employees will be notified about their job status by email. Within an hour of being informed, they will lose access to company systems. Gale has also outlined details about severance packages.
Some of these roles will be refilled in the future but no timeline has been shared for the same. Employees whose managers will be laid off will be assigned to new reporting heads, according to reports.
