Kunal Majumder quits Catch News, joins Express Group

One of the founding editors of Catch News has finally stepped down from his role. Kunal Majumder, formerly Editor -Operations & Speed News at Catch, has joined The Indian Express Group. Majumder was associated with Catch for two years and helped build the website from scratch.

At Express, he will be working towards creating a team of multimedia journalists. “I have joined The Indian Express Group. We are trying to set up a small team of young multimedia journalists and multimedia-friendly writers,” he wrote on Facebook.

Previously, Majumder headed the web operations at Tehelka. He was also responsible for overseeing the content of dnaindia.com and india.com during his stint with Zee Media. He is a product of AJK Mass Communication Research Centre, Jamia Millia Islamia.
