Instagram’s video editing app Edits has rolled out an update in the Keyframes feature.

This lets creators make frame-specific edits—fine-tuning movement, timing, and effects for greater control and a more polished output. It’s a feature that’s long been a staple in professional editing suites, and its arrival on Edits makes the app feel more creator-first than ever.

Users can now apply keyframes to base footage, with the team confirming that the same capability will soon extend to text, overlays, stickers, and cutouts, enabling even more layered and dynamic storytelling.

The app also introduces new voice enhancement options, including background noise removal for cleaner voiceovers—a useful addition for creators working on the move or in imperfect audio environments. Alongside this, Edits has updated its Ideas tab, allowing users to save audio and leave sticky notes for future inspiration or collaboration.
