IMPACT unveils Digital Power 100 List 2012
MakeMyTrip’s Deep Kalra leads the list, followed by Naveen Tiwari, Sanjeev Bhikchandani & Hitesh Oberoi, VSS Mani, and Neeraj Roy
At the cusp of a new year, IMPACT has compiled a list of 100 digital czars as well as relative newbies who are changing the game in the digital domain. Christened the IMPACT Digital Power 100, the comprehensive list marks the emergence of an entirely new ecosystem in the country and the digital domain. It also pays tribute to the entrepreneurship and ingenuity of the 100 featured in the list as well as their contribution to the society over the years.
IMPACT has created the power list through a multi-layered, robust, transparent process and involving top-notch professionals and domain experts at many levels to narrow down on an honest representation. Those featured in the IMPACT Digital Power 100 are real change makers.
Leading this list is Deep Kalra, Founder & CEO, MakeMyTrip. Incidentally, Kalra was adjudged Digital Person of the Year at exchange4media’s Indian Digital Media Awards 2011.
Ranked at No 2 is Naveen Tiwari, Founder & CEO, InMobi. He is followed by the duo of Sanjeev Bhikchandani and Hitesh Oberoi. Bhikchandani is the Founder & Executive Vice-Chairman of InfoEdge, which has portals such as Naukri, while Oberoi is the MD and CEO of the company.
In the fourth position is VSS Mani, Founder & CEO, JustDial. He is followed by Neeraj Roy, Managing Director & CEO, Hungama. There is also representation from the Government of India in the form of J Satyanarayana, Secretary, Electronics & IT, who is placed sixth in the list.
Amit Ranjan and Rashmi Sinha, the founders of Slideshare, are ranked seventh. They are followed by Phanindra Sama, CEO, RedBus, who is ranked eighth. Murugavel Janakiraman, Founder & CEO, Consim Info is ranked ninth, while Ganesh Krishnan, Founder & CEO of Tutor Vista, is ranked tenth.
