Jainil Mehta, a globally recognized dancer and choreographer, was recently crowned Best Dance Influencer at the Impact Digital Influencer Awards 2024. His win highlights his immense contribution to the dance community, where he seamlessly blends artistic expression with digital influence, inspiring thousands across the globe.

Originally from Mumbai, India, Mehta’s journey in dance began with Shiamak Davar International, where he trained for thirteen years. He later graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. A former company dancer with Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company, Mehta has performed works by legendary choreographers such as William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, and Dwight Rhoden.

Beyond stage performances, Mehta has gained international recognition for challenging gender norms in dance, earning features in BBC News, Good Morning America, Elle India, Hindustan Times, and Humans of Bombay. His choreographic brilliance extends to music videos, including Big Wild’s 6’s to 9’s and Falguni Pathak’s Jode Rahejo Raaj.

As a dance educator, Mehta conducts workshops across India, Pakistan, China, Singapore, the UK, Europe, Australia, and the US, fostering a new generation of dancers. With his recent Impact award win solidifying his place as a pioneer in digital dance influence, Jainil Mehta continues to inspire, innovate, and push the boundaries of movement in both physical and digital spaces.
