The future of advertising lies in continuous transformation and intent-driven strategies, said Girish Prabhu, Head of Amazon Ads India, at Streamnext 2025, a premier event hosted by Amazon MX Player in Mumbai.

The gathering brought together top executives, marketers, and content creators to discuss the evolving landscape of advertising, entertainment, and brand engagement.

Delivering the keynote address, Prabhu underscored the need for brands to stay agile in a fast-changing environment. “Transformation is not a destination; it’s an ongoing journey. Brands must evolve, think differently, and stay ahead of the curve,” he said. Drawing a vivid analogy, he likened the process to navigating Mumbai’s bustling local trains. “Just a slight shift towards the exit, and the momentum takes you forward. Similarly, brands that lean into change will find themselves propelled toward success.”

Tracing the roots of advertising to ancient history, Prabhu noted that consumer intent has always been the driving force behind brand growth. “From cave paintings to digital ads, the fundamental principle remains unchanged—understanding and addressing consumer needs at the right moment,” he pointed out.

StreamNext 2025 also saw the unveiling of Amazon MX Player’s ambitious content lineup for the year, featuring over 100 new shows, including 40 Hindi originals and returning hits such as Aashram and Hip Hop India.
